So, if you have been following my blog for the last couple of weeks, then first of all, congratulations, you are one of maybe 3 people! More importantly, though, you'd know that I started my wellness journey back in September when I become a Young Living Brand Partner.
We are now two months along on this journey and here is what I have tried so far and how I feel about these products.
Drish's Dream Maker blend (patent pending) is a blend of Abundance and Geranium essential oils. I have been diffusing this blend for about four years now and as I mentioned in my previous blog and on the guide on my Instagram page, this blend changed my life. Shortly after I started using this blend, I got myself not one or two but three jobs. I kick-started my career now I own my own home, have a job I love, and basically everything I have ever wanted.
Thieves Household Cleaner - I have been using this for the last two months now and I am low-key obsessed. When it first arrived, I was unsure. I took a big whiff and did not think I would be able to tolerate the strong smell. PSA - don't open the bottle of essential oils or essential oil products and take a whiff hahaha, but more on that later. Once I properly diluted the cleaner in water and started using it on all my surfaces and floors, I quickly fell in love. I actually enjoy cleaning now!
Valor - aka confidence in a bottle. So I got this magic little bottle last month and not a moment too soon. Last month, I had a couple of job interviews and was very nervous about them and not my usual confident self. I knew coming out of those interviews that I could have done so much better. Enter, Valor. Two weeks ago, I had more interviews to contend with and I know the skeptics out there are going to read this and want to give me all the credit here but I put two drops of valor into the palm of my hands and pressed a little into the back of my neck, my chest and cupped it over my nose before those interviews. I found myself more calm and confident with these interviews. I was still nervous but I also walked away feeling like I had given my best and feeling really good. Now, I diffuse a few drops of Valor and a few drops of Geneyus in my classroom every day to give me and my students a little boost of confidence.
Joy - so here is a great example of why you shouldn't open the bottle and take a big whiff. That is exactly what I did when Joy turned up on my doorstep and I cringed, unsure of why people love this oil. Later, I put a drop in my palms and cupped my nose and the rest, as they say, is history. This oil is literally bottled joy. It smells so beautiful you can't help but smile when you smell it. I use this on my volcanic rock bracelet and I also diffuse it at home whenever I need a little pick me up.
Ok so, I could go on about all the oils that I love but we would be here for days so let me break it down a little more simply.
Purification & White Angelica - for protection clearing negative energy.
Digize - all my upset tummy issues! I use it topically and feel relief within minutes.
Thieves - cold and flu relief - I rub on my throat and feet and have felt relief quickly too.
StressAway - they call this vacation in a bottle- so so true.
Lavender, Peace & Calming, Cedarwood, and Frankincense (sleep blend) - I gave this to a friend who has had insomnia and after night 2 she told me it was the first time in months she woke up feeling well-rested!
Travel Diffuser - this was from the Christmas catalog this year and it is amazing. I use this in my car and absolutely love being able to bring my oils with me on my drives. I spend a lot of time in the car so its great to use some stress away or some valor in the car to help give me a little mood lift before work or a social outing.
Lantern Diffuser - I cannot begin to express just how much I love this diffuser. It is so beautiful. looks like a real lantern thanks to the candle flicker mode. I also love the three diffuser modes. I have my eyes on the desert mist diffuser next.
NingXia Red - I have only just started drinking this - I was skeptical about this too but so far I really like it. It has only been 4 days so I will come back and comment on the effects of this antioxidant-rich drink in a couple of weeks.
Mermaid Hair Spray - Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood Hydrosol, Rosemary, Cedarwood, Lavender, and Geranium oils - Again, it has only been about 5 days, so I will check back in a few weeks when I start to notice effects but adding geranium certainly helped the smell.
Bug Off Spray - I got this recipe from my YL sisters. I was looking for a natural alternative to mortein as I am terrified of spiders but mortein and the likes give me a terrible headache and I don't want them around my puppy either. Anyway, I had a couple of fruit flies a few weeks ago and after a single spray, the problem was solved! I have now sprayed this in every nook and cranny of my home. Works like a charm!
Next on my list: Progessence Plus, Desert Mist Diffuser, as I mentioned above, Thieves Dish Soap, Thieves laundry soap. I also really want to try the lavender shampoo and copaiba conditioner as well as the sensation body wash but slow and steady wins the race haha.
Ok reviews aside, the other thing that this journey has brought me so far are some pretty amazing mentors. Young Living sets you up with leaders to help you with the business side of things and the women I have met so far are incredible. I may barely know them but I feel like I have known them for years.
Stay tuned for more wellness updates in another couple of months!
